Cynthia P. Santos is a distinguished banking professional and accomplished leader, currently serving as the President of USBank. With over 35 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, she brings a wealth of expertise to the organization, particularly in corporate planning, economics, and banking operations.

Ms. Santos earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from the University of the Philippines in 1975. She further pursued graduate studies, completing intensive preparatory courses at the University of Colorado in 1978, and went on to obtain her Master’s in Development Economics from Williams College in Massachusetts, USA in 1979. In 2001, she also completed the AIM-ABA Bank Management Course at the Asian Institute of Management, solidifying her robust foundation in business and banking leadership.

Her professional journey spans over two decades in banking, where she has excelled in diverse roles, including corporate planning, economics and research, remittance and overseas Filipino banking, and investor relations. She also brings impeccable compliance expertise, having served for 7 years as Chief Compliance Officer.

Before her successful banking career, Ms. Santos made noteworthy contributions to government service, where she worked for 10 years at the Ministry of Finance and in the Office of the Prime Minister. During her tenure, she held various key positions, including economic researcher, fiscal economist, planning officer, tax advisor, and technical staff director, where she concurrently served as economic affairs director.

Her diverse background in both the financial industry and government has equipped her with a unique perspective on economic development and financial management, making her an invaluable asset to USBank’s leadership.
