Customer Service Associate (CSA)

General Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while opening and maintaining new accounts for our clients. This role involves ensuring accurate and efficient processing of new account applications, addressing customer inquiries and building strong relationships with clients.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist customers in opening various types of accounts (e.g., savings, checking, business, joint accounts).
  2. Verify identity and documentation (e.g., ID, proof of address, etc).
  3. Explain account types, terms, and services available.
  4. Greet and assist clients in person, via phone.
  5. Provide information on bank products and services.
  6. Respond to inquiries regarding account status, balances, and procedures.
  7. Accurately input customer data into the bank’s system.
  8. Maintain updated records and documentation for each account.
  9. Ensure confidentiality and security of customer information.
  10. Ensure all new accounts comply with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, AML).
  11. Cross-check documents for completeness and accuracy.
  12. Identify customers’ needs and recommend appropriate bank products (e.g., loans).
  13. Communicate with supervisors regarding account issues or irregularities.
  14. File physical documents.
  15. Assist with account closures and changes to account information.
  16. Follow up on pending account applications or documentation.
  17. Receive loan applications and forward it to Loan  Accounts Division for processing.
  18. Reliever of Teller during their absences.
  19. Adhere to all risk management policies and report unusual activity.
  20. Scans and uploads the KYC documents to the system
  21. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills for using banking software
  • Ability to handle cash and other financial instruments responsibly
